Christiana Ferugi:  Nancy has taught our daughter what we as parents desire most...self confidence.  Through Nancy's instruction, players are aware of what they are capable of doing, recognizing their abilities as they strive to meet their potential.  As Nancy motivates the players to perform their best on the field, they become comfortable and confident.  She is experienced in proper softball skills providing the players with necessary mechanics to acheive their personal and athletic capabilities. 

Nancy praises and provides positive feedback along with instruction and emphasizes that mistakes are to learn from and all part of the game.

I am thankful that my daughter had the privelege to be on a team coached by Nancy.  I am also grateful that we, as coaches, had the opportunity to observe as well, as I will utilize her knowledge and experience to improve my own coaching skills.

Aiyah (AJ) Huerta:  Nancy's program has provided high quality softball instruction in a supportive and positive team environment.   Nancy shows tremendous respect and patience with the girls and is a tremendous coach.  Nancy has a unique ability to teach the basic mechanics of softball as well as more complex components of the game in way that the girls (and a softball mom such as me) can easily understand and put into practice.  She works with the girls to both advance and improve their inidividual and team skills.  It is through Nancy's instruction, and AJ's hard work, that AJ has had such a successful year as a pitcher. Aliyah (and our family) really respect her as a coach and are thankful for the opportunity to have such high quality instruction close to home and to be able participate on the Tide team.

Grace Salsido Mendez: My nine year old daughter Grace and I had the pleasure of getting to know Nancy through the Santa Barbara Tide Program.  During that time it was very clear to me that Nancy has a gift, a talent to motivate these girls with her constant support, positive feedback and tough her sense of pride and determination.  As I watched and observed the practices and games I have seen Grace's skill level advance and her enthusiasm grow.  We decided to have Grace take private lessons with Nancy to define those skills and prepare her for the 10U season.  Grace is able to work on each element of the game while learning valuable techniques and target areas that will make her a stronger player.  
Nancy is an excellent coach and mentor to our girls, she puts in time and energy to make sure the girls experience the game as a true ball player. She arranged for the Tide team to play at the PFX Tour, a memorable event that included a women's pro softball game, tournaments and even a meet a greet with the players!  When we speak of someone who loves the game, has the experience to coach the game and a heart to develop our girls to be strong and confident in their game, we are definitely speaking of Nancy Eckert.

Amber Bolletti: Being on the Santa Barbara Tide A-Ball Team with Nancy has been an exceptional experience and opportunity for our 9-year old daughter, Amber.  She’s not only learning the fundamentals of batting and fielding, she’s actually excelling.  Knowing that Amber is young and still has a lot to learn, we are hopeful that Nancy continues this wonderful A-Ball Team.  Amber would not be where she is today if it weren’t for Nancy.   

Nancy is the best softball coach hands down!!

Malia Carrasco:  My daughter Malia age 10 has commented that she likes the way Nancy shows the girls how to do a new drill, bat, catch etc rather than explain it and expect the girls to understand. Our daughter has had a positive experience while playing for Santa Barbara Tide.

Lauren Gerken

Nancy's practices are well organized, challenging, and focused on skill development.   The girls get plenty of repetitions in the field or with the bat.  Her instruction helps the girls improve their skills as well as their knowledge of the game.  She helps the girls make the transition from girls who play softball to softball players. Lauren has become a much better player as a result of this program.
