Pitching Students Advance

I'm so proud!  Many of these kids started lessons at age 7 and spent many years with me!

There are many more Tide position players who've advanced to college ball, here are some of my college pitchers.

Ali Frykland:  This one showed potential and strength all the way through. She played 4 years of Tide, travel ball was a 4 year letter at San Marcos (SMHS 2021) and now plays for Arizona Christian University. (ACU)

Jenessa Ullegue:  A Buena softball star and always hungry to learn.  I had the pleasure of helping her with her spins and foundational pitches during her HS years.  San Jose State is lucky to have her.

Veronika Gulvin: She was a BMX champion in elementary school, always tall and strong, she left rec league early for travel ball. She pitched 4 years for Dos Pueblos Varsity  (2014) and another 4 years for UCSB.

Kiley Shae Aldridge was the first Tide pitcher and forever a team leader.  She always played up in league (Lompoc) and after two years of Tide year round travel ball, she went on to play for the Fresno Force, then to Fresno State.  She came back to SB and helped coach Tide teams for a few years. (Cabrillo HS, Lompoc 2011)

Alison Speshyock:  Fundamentals of pitching are the foundation of every athlete.  MVP of the Channel League she pitched for DPHS (2019) and moved onto pitch for Siena College in NY.

Kristina Haake: This family found me when I first started doing my free Monday pitching clinics in 1994.  I took her all the way through high school and assisted her to get her scholarship at University of San Diego.  (DPHS 2003).

Alyssa Abiyari:  From Lompoc, a four year letter graduated at Cabrillo HS (2010)  She played several years of year round Tide Club Softball, played at Cal Lutheran.

Aliyah Huerta: Always a joy to coach, AJ played Tide and then went to Orange Co for the highest level of travel ball.  She was a 4 year Varsity letter at San Marcos (SMHS 2018) and just completed 4 years at Boston University as well as the International games as a member of team Israel.

Tatiana Werts :  Another Ventura pitcher, Tati played Ventura Girls Softball, Tide for a few years, went to travel ball and played at St Bonaventure and finished HS at Fillmore.   She's currently playing at Missouri Valley College. (Fillmore 2019)

Lani Evans:   Lani always pitched.  She played for GVGSA, travel ball, earned all CIF awards at  Dos Pueblos (2014) and played at IONA College.

Quincy Lewis:  Quincy lived in New York and came to visit for intensive lessons, followed by regular video lessons.  When she arrived she had fundamental flaws that would've taken her out of the game.  She made the necessary changes and excelled in HS, at Shippensburg University, and after coaching all college levels, run's Diamond Dynamics Softball.

Catalina Maldonado: From Carpinteria she played GVGSA, travel ball and pitched 4 years at Carpinteria High (2013)  After 4 years at

Southeastern University in Florida, and a short stint coaching at SBCC, she's now a  graduate assistant coach back at Southeastern U.

Hannah Harris:  Hannah was tall and strong at 7 years old when she claimed the circle as her own.  She pitched in GVGSA, on her travel teams, at DPHS and then 4 years at Fresno State.  (DPHS 2012)

Talia Bloxham:  Talia played all 4 years of Tide, during which she converted to a left handed slapper.  She moved on to travel ball, played 4 years at DPHS (2018) and pitched for Amherst College. Her coaches at Amherst appreciated and made notice of her impeccable pitching  fundamentals.

Ali Borden played 5 years of Tide Softball.  Ali has led Tide, her All Star teams, DPHS  (2020) and Phenom with her steadfast pitching and passion for the sport.  She played at University of Redlands
